23 total Towson events to air on Monumental this season, including football, basketball, lacrosse, and volleyball
Washington, D.C. and Towson, MD (February 3, 2025) – The Towson University athletics department and Monumental Sports Network (MNMT) today announced that four of the seven Towson University men’s lacrosse home games during the 2025 regular season will be televised on the local media platform this spring. This marks the first time MNMT will carry live college lacrosse games on its air.
As a member of the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA), all regular season games Towson produces will air exclusively on FloSports digital with member institutions retaining rights to local linear television distribution. The conference also has a Game of the Week package with LacrosseTV.
The 2025 season begins February 4 versus Johns Hopkins at Johnny Unitas® Stadium. Shawn Nadelen’s squad begins the season ranked No. 17 in the Inside Lacrosse Media Poll.
Towson is coming off one of its strongest years in program history, finishing the 2024 season No. 12 in the final Inside Lacrosse rankings. The Tigers finished 13-4 and went undefeated in CAA play to earn the regular season league title, then defeated Delaware in the tournament title game to earn a trip to the NCAA tournament.
“Anytime we can be on television in our home market is a great opportunity for us to showcase Towson University and the lacrosse program,” said Nadelen, now in his 14th season as Towson’s head coach.
The lacrosse broadcasts on MNMT will begin with a non-conference matchup versus St. Joseph’s on February 22 and continue with CAA games against Delaware (March 15), Stony Brook (March 22) and Hampton (April 12).
Towson lacrosse games on MNMT will be available to fans via their pay TV provider within the network’s footprint, stretching from Richmond to Delaware. Fans can watch the games through their Pay TV subscription on linear tv, on monumentalplus.com, or by downloading the Monumental+ app on iOS, Android, Apple TV, Roku, and Amazon Fire TV and using an eligible TV Everywhere log-in. This represents another step in our commitment to providing area fans with the best college athletics coverage in the DMV.”
Since acquiring the network from NBC Universal in 2022, MNMT has prioritized carrying local college sports. This past fall, the network aired 20 college football games. In addition to the network’s college sports coverage, Monumental Sports Network is the exclusive local television media rights holder for the NBA’s Washington Wizards, NHL’s Washington Capitals, WNBA’s Washington Mystics, and NBA G League’s Capital City Go-Go.
