Monumental Sports: Powering Up Esports and Community Impact
The EXP livestream builds on Monumental Sports’ long-standing commitment to esports innovation. Since an early investment in ownership group aXiomatic in 2016, MSE has also introduced the NBA 2K League’s Wizards District Gaming and Caps Gaming, a leading NHL esports brand.
Through aXiomatic, MSE also holds equity in Team Liquid, Epic Games, Niantic, Dapper Labs, and Nifty Games, with Ted Leonsis and Zach Leonsis serving on aXiomatic and Team Liquid boards, and Zach on the NBA 2K League Executive Committee. The 2023 opening of District E Powered by Ticketmaster further cemented MSE’s leadership in the space, creating a hub for esports, entertainment, and community events in Washington, D.C.
EXP adds to MSEF’s robust, award-winning slate of community impact programs. MSEF recently marked a season of unprecedented impact in 2024-25, with $3.1 million raised in donations for community nonprofits – the highest seasonal total in the Foundation’s history.
