Traffic Alert: EagleBank Arena to Host 38 High School Graduation Ceremonies Over Three Weeks

Fairfax, VA (May 28, 2025) – Starting the week of May 27 through Monday, June 16, drivers may experience an increase in the volume of traffic on and around George Mason University’s Fairfax campus, and intermittent street closures. For the second consecutive year, the University will be hosting 38 graduation ceremonies for high school students and their families at EagleBank Arena over a three-week period.

Doors will open one hour prior to the event’s start time. Attendees should review the venue’s bag policy, as only clear bags and 5×7 clutches will be permitted. Larger items can be stored at the Binbox locker station at the West entry next to the box office. For more information on prohibited items and other arena policies please visit eaglebankarena.com.

Event attendees and students are also advised to allow extra travel time and plan for a shortage of on-campus parking.
