Traffic Alert: 60th Presidential Inauguration Road Closures to Impact Fans Traveling to Saturday’s Capitals Game

Washington, D.C. (January 17, 2025) – Fans driving to the Washington Capitals game against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday night at Capital One Arena are advised to allow extra travel time and consider alternative transportation methods due to road closures and increased security activity ahead of the 60th Presidential Inauguration. Puck drop for Saturday’s game is scheduled for 7 p.m.

The District of Columbia has announced that there will be road closures, parking restrictions and transit impacts that motorists should take into consideration starting on Saturday, Jan. 18. Fans can find a complete list of road closures and other restrictions throughout the weekend HERE.
