Commute Advisory: First Amendment Activity at Gallery Place/Chinatown Today  

Activity is expected to begin this afternoon around 3:00 pm ahead of the Washington Wizards game tonight at 7:00 pm 

Washington, D.C. (January 30, 2026) – Fans traveling to tonight’s Washington Wizards game against the Los Angeles Lakers at Capital One Arena are advised to allow extra travel time due to the potential delays or disruptions caused by First Amendment activity scheduled to take place today around the Gallery Place Chinatown Metro.

The activity is scheduled to begin around 3:00 pm. The Wizards game will proceed as planned with a 7:00 pm start, but those traveling to the arena should plan accordingly, allow for additional travel time, and follow guidance from Metro, local authorities, and arena security as needed.
