Washington, D.C. (April 30, 2025) — District E Powered by Ticketmaster, Monumental Sports & Entertainment’s (MSE) premier esports and entertainment venue located in Gallery Place adjacent to Capital One Arena, has unveiled its summer event programming – a stacked lineup of brand-new offerings and theme nights designed to bring the local community together.
“This summer, we are thrilled to collaborate with fellow local businesses to create an engaging atmosphere that appeals to audiences of all ages through our unique live events programming,” said Erin Mitchell Martin, Vice President, Venues Marketing at MSE. “We are looking forward to welcoming in guests from around the DMV during the summer months and encouraging our community to come together and try something new – whether it be dancing, trivia, or gaming.”
Beginning in May, District E’s new summer programming includes:
Trivia Thursdays – In collaboration with Capital City Trivia, every Thursday night, guests can test their knowledge while enjoying a brand-new $5 menu featuring draft beers, well drinks and select appetizers. The next Trivia Thursday is scheduled for May 1 at 7:00 PM.
Line Dancing Fridays – In partnership with LineDance4You, dancers of all levels are invited to partake in an evening of line dancing with no cover. This experience is beginner-friendly and will take place on the second Friday of the month. The next Line Dancing Friday is scheduled for May 9 at 8:00 PM.
Princess Brunches – A magical experience designed for the whole family, guests are encouraged to come dressed as royalty and enjoy themed dining, character meet-and-greets, and more. Princess Brunches are put on in participation with Princess Parties of DC and will be offered monthly throughout the summer. The next Princess Brunch is scheduled for Saturday, May 17 at 10:00 AM. *Tickets are required and can be purchased in advance at districtedc.com.
Shaken Not Stirred – District E’s signature event offering returns this summer for guests to discover new talent or catch local favorite musical acts perform in an intimate setting. The next Shaken Not Stirred is scheduled for Saturday, May 3 at 7:00 PM.
Amateur Esports Tournaments – Gamers of all skill levels are invited to come compete in District E’s esports-centric venue for free monthly esports tournaments for cash prizes. The next esports tournament “The Hill” is scheduled for Saturday, May 10 at 4:00 PM.
In its third year of operation, District E Powered by Ticketmaster is MSE’s nearly 14,000 square-feet live-event theater offering a 365-day-a-year series of immersive experiences in esports, music, event programming, and community events – along with pre-and post-event activations for fans attending Washington Capitals and Washington Wizards games.
The venue’s full-service bar and restaurant District Bites offers a variety of specialty drinks and dishes, featuring locally sourced ingredients from Detroit-style pizza to hand-made desserts. During the summer months, District Bites will be open Thursdays (3 PM – 11 PM), Fridays (3 PM – 12 AM), Saturdays (11:30 AM – 12 AM) and Sundays (11:30 AM – 11 PM). Hours of operation may be adjusted on Monday – Wednesday based on the Capitals home playoff schedule.
