Monumental Sports & Entertainment Foundation to Bring Holiday Cheer to Local Families at Annual Holiday Celebration

Washington, D.C. – Monumental Sports & Entertainment Foundation (MSEF) has partnered with players, coaches, executives and their families from the Washington Wizards, Mystics and Capitals, along with the Capital City Go-Go, to provide holiday cheer and support for local families at the Family-to-Family holiday party benefiting Martha’s Table and Eagle Academy Public Charter School. On December 11, 2022, at the Entertainment & Sports Arena in Ward 8, the lively event will bring 34 families from the community to a Capital City Go-Go game and holiday party complete with food, games, music, entertainment, gifts and photos with Santa.

MSEF volunteers will be in attendance cheering on the Capital City Go-Go alongside the families, and then joining them after the game to celebrate the holidays and distribute the gifts purchased and wrapped by hundreds of Monumental Sports & Entertainment staff. Children, parents and caregivers present on the 11th will be greeted by the Washington Wizards mascot G-Wiz and the Wizards Dancers and enjoy music from DJ Heat, face painting, balloon art and more. The families will also have the opportunity to shoot hoops on the practice court during the event.

Martha’s Table has been a longstanding partner of MSEF, the Washington Wizards, Mystics and Capitals. This year, MSEF has adopted 29 families and provided the venue and a $25,000 monetary grant in support of Martha’s Table as part of MSEF’s annual Family-to-Family program. The Capital City Go-Go partnered with Eagle Academy Public Charter School for the second year in-a-row to provide gifts for five families from the school.
