Wizards District Gaming Players Elected as 2022 NBA 2K League Eastern Conference All Stars

 

Dayfri, Just Awkward chosen by fans, media and league officials to represent WDG at 2022 All Star

Washington, D.C. – Wizards District Gaming players Ryan “Dayfri” Conger and Justin “Just Awkward” Howell have been named 2022 NBA 2K League All-Stars representing the Eastern Conference, the 2K League announced today. WDG is the NBA 2K League affiliate of the NBA’s Washington Wizards, both owned by Monumental Sports & Entertainment, and was one of the seventeen inaugural teams in the league when it was launched in 2018.

For the first time, 2022 NBA 2K League All-Star events will include both 5v5 and 3v3 gameplay formats and will award a total of $30,000 to participants. WDG Head Coach Patrick Crossan will lead the Eastern Conference 5v5 All Star team of players elected by fan, media, current players and coaches, and he will select his own roster of players for the 3v3 competition.

“Having multiple WDG players voted in as All-Stars for the second year in a row is such an incredible accomplishment,” said Patrick Crossan, Head Coach and General Manager of Wizards District Gaming. “Our players continue to showcase their excellence, versatility, and mental toughness on the league’s biggest stages. Time after time Dayfri, Just Awkward and our entire roster show that they are greatest group of NBA2K players ever assembled.”

NBA 2K League All-Star presented by Google Pixel will take place on Friday, September 30th at The Novo in Los Angeles and broadcast on Stadium and the NBA 2K League’s Twitch and YouTube channels.
