Washington, D.C. – Monumental Sports & Entertainment Foundation (MSEF) volunteers will provide holiday cheer and support to local families at the annual Martha’s Table Winter Wonderland from December 13 -18, 2021 at the Martha’s Outfitters location in Ward 8. The lively event will offer gifts and holiday supplies for families to collect including toys, books, clothing, gift bags, stockings, wrapping paper and decorations while enjoying hot chocolate and holiday music.
MSEF volunteers, including a Mystics player, wives and partners of Capitals players and coaches and wives and children of Monumental Basketball executives will be in attendance on the final day of the Winter Wonderland event (December 18, 2021) to help attendees look for gifts, organize their presents, and load up their cars. Parents and caregivers present on the 18th will also be greeted by the Washington Capitals mascot Slapshot.
Martha’s Table has been a longstanding partner of MSEF, the Washington Wizards, Capitals, and Mystics. This year, MSEF’s has donated $50,000 to support Martha’s Table’s seasonal event, which helps to underwrite Winter Wonderland benefiting more than 150 children and their families with holiday gifts as well as adopting nearly 20 families as a part of MSEF’s annual Family-to-Family program.
