Capital One Arena will be showcased in blue lighting at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 9th to thank fellow Americans for working tirelessly during this unprecedented period and keeping us safe.
On Thursday, April 9, 2020 at 8:00 p.m. ET, Monumental Sports & Entertainment will be showcasing Capital One Arena, 601 F Street NW, in blue lighting across its F Street NW exterior and around the 100-level concourse in support of the nationwide #LightItBlue campaign.
Inspired by the Clap For Our Carers campaign in the United Kingdom, event and entertainment industry leaders across the country have recruited leaders across government, private sector and the sports and entertainment fields to create a national show of support and gratitude to health care professionals and essential workers caring for our communities on the front lines and creating a universal symbol of solidarity and hope.
