Zachary Leonsis is President of Media & New Enterprises for Monumental Sports & Entertainment, where he leads media operations, team rights agreements, corporate development matters, and technology strategy. He also launched and oversees Monumental’s esports division, including Wizards District Gaming, Caps Gaming, and District E, and serves on the board of Team Liquid while also engaging with Axiomatic through investments in companies like Epic Games, Niantic, and Dapper Labs.
Leonsis is Alternate Governor for the NBA’s Washington Wizards and WNBA’s Washington Mystics and serves on the Media Committees for both the WNBA and G League. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and Georgetown’s McDonough School of Business, he remains deeply involved in civic and nonprofit work across the DMV region. His leadership has earned recognition from Sports Business Journal, the Washington Business Journal, and Leaders in Sports, including induction into SBJ’s Forty Under 40 Hall of Fame.
