Monumental Sports Network Celebrates Record-Setting Viewership for Women’s Sports Programming during 2025 Season

MNMT registers all-time viewership highs for Mystics and Spirit coverage 

Washington, D.C. (November 19, 2025)Monumental Sports Network (MNMT) announced today record-setting viewership across its women’s sports programming during the 2025 season, highlighted by historic local audience growth for the WNBA’s Washington Mystics and NWSL’s Washington Spirit. Both teams’ broadcasts on MNMT posted all-time highs, underscoring MNMT’s commitment to expanding coverage and visibility for women’s sports across the D.C., Maryland, and Virginia region. 

During the 2025 WNBA season, Mystics broadcasts on MNMT continued their upward trajectory, posting record gains in viewership. After a record-setting 2024 season, in-game viewership for live Mystics broadcasts on MNMT increased 46% compared to the 2024 season within the D.C. and Baltimore markets, while Mystics Pregame Live and Mystics Postgame Live saw major surges of 152% and 60%, respectively (HH). Competitive Performance: 

2025 Mystics games on MNMT outperformed Fox Sports 1’s programming for 92% of broadcasts and ESPN2’s programming for 84% during the game timeframes. 

Digital Growth: 

Average streaming minutes watched per user on Monumental+ increased by 26% compared to the 2024 season.

Throughout the 2025 season, MNMT aired 38 regular season Mystics games, as well as exclusive original programming such as magazine show Mystics Courtside and Fresh Paint: Mystics All Access. MNMT also continued to offer a robust selection of Mystics gameday programs –Mystics Pregame LiveandMystics Postgame Live– providing informative team analysis and commentary before and after each regular season game on the network. In 2023, the Mystics became the first WNBA team to feature a dedicated pre- and postgame show for every regional game broadcast. 

As part of the network’s larger commitment to providing a robust platform for women’s sports, MNMT broadcasted and fully produced five Washington Spirit matches on linear tv during the NWSL season – as well as two digital exclusives on Monumental+ – and launched a dedicated postgame show following all matches on MNMT.  

For the Spirit, MNMT’s 2025 linear coverage delivered record-breaking local viewership, up 106% from the 2024 season (HH). The network’s expanded postgame programming also achieved milestone engagement, fueled by enhanced production from MNMT’s state-of-the-art studios.
