First meeting between local programs since 1981 to air live across the DMV region on Saturday, October 18
Washington, D.C. (October 15, 2025) – Monumental Sports Network (MNMT) announced today it will broadcast the upcoming exhibition matchup between the Georgetown Hoyas and George Washington Revolutionaries men’s basketball programs on Saturday, October 18. The game marks the first meeting between the two D.C.-based teams since 1981 and will air live from George Washington’s Charles E. Smith Center at 6:00 PM.
Coverage will begin at 5:00 PM with the season debut of Raise High at GW: Coaches Show, followed by a 30-minute pregame show at 5:30 PM leading into tip-off. The broadcast will feature Byron Kerr (play-by-play) and MNMT’s Jimmy Patsos (color commentary) on the call, delivering an in-depth and engaging viewing experience for basketball fans throughout the DMV region.

Saturday’s exhibition game builds on MNMT’s ongoing commitment to local college athletics. During the 2024-25 season, MNMT aired 10 George Washington men’s and women’s basketball games, with plans to continue its coverage in the upcoming season. Saturday’s game also marks the return of Georgetown men’s basketball to MNMT for the first time since Monumental Sports & Entertainment (MSE) acquired the network from NBC Universal in 2022. MNMT’s full 2025-26 college basketball broadcast schedule will be announced in the coming weeks.

This matchup between Georgetown and George Washington adds to a growing slate of live programming on MNMT, which serves as the exclusive regional TV home of the NHL’s Washington Capitals, NBA’s Washington Wizards, WNBA’s Washington Mystics, and NBA G League’s Capital City Go-Go.
