Featuring partnerships with five local schools and HBCU GO, the 72-game schedule continues on Nov. 3 after Georgetown-George Washington viewership record earlier this month
Washington, D.C. (October 29, 2025) – With the regular season tipping off in early November, Monumental Sports Network (MNMT) announced today a robust college basketball broadcast schedule, continuing its partnerships with George Mason University (VA), George Washington University (D.C.), Hampton University (VA), Towson University (MD), and the University of Richmond (VA). Throughout the 2025–26 season, MNMT will showcase 72 college basketball games—the most in network history—including matchups from all three jurisdictions across the DMV. This year’s 34 women’s matchups are also MNMT’s most ever.
Alongside this year’s local broadcast partnerships, MNMT has also extended its relationship with HBCU GO to air 20 taped men’s and women’s basketball games from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), including local Bowie St. University (MD), Virginia Union University, and Virginia St. University.
“As we continue to grow our live programming slate, Monumental Sports Network remains deeply committed to showcasing the incredible athletic talent within our region,” said Caitlin Mangum, Vice President, Content & Programming at MNMT. “This season’s record number of college basketball broadcasts highlights our dedication to elevating women’s sports and shining a spotlight on HBCU programs. Through our coverage of universities from D.C., Maryland, and Virginia, we’re proud to celebrate the diversity and excellence of the local basketball scene while delivering the most comprehensive DMV sports coverage in the market.”
MNMT’s 2025-26 college basketball schedule began earlier this month, as the network broadcasted an exhibition matchup between Georgetown and George Washington men’s basketball, marking the first meeting between the two D.C.-based teams since 1981. The highly-anticipated matchup set a new high viewership mark for college hoops on MNMT, as it was the most watched college basketball game aired on the network since 2022, when Monumental Sports & Entertainment (MSE) purchased MNMT (P2+) (Source: Nielsen Media Research, P2+ demo. MNMT’s regular season college basketball coverage starts on Monday, Nov. 3 as Towson men’s basketball takes on Loyola (MD) at 9:00 PM on MNMT2.
Millions of households in the network’s coverage area can watch college basketball games on MNMT throughout the upcoming season. Local basketball fans can watch the games through their Pay TV subscription, on monumentalplus.com, or by downloading the state-of-the-art Monumental+ app on iOS, Android, Apple TV, Chromecast, DIRECTV Gemini, Fire TV, Roku, X1, and Xfinity Xumo and using an eligible TV Everywhere log-in.
MNMT’s college basketball lineup adds to a growing slate of live programming on the independent local media platform, which serves as the exclusive regional TV home of the NHL’s Washington Capitals, NBA’s Washington Wizards, WNBA’s Washington Mystics, and NBA G League’s Capital City Go-Go. In addition, the network airs a robust lineup of college football, lacrosse, volleyball, high school basketball, esports, and games from the Washington Spirit (NWSL) and Old Glory DC (Major League Rugby). MNMT is projected to air nearly 500 live games during the 2025-26 season.
