Fairfax, VA – With over 10,400 tickets sold, comedian Nate Bargatze’s performance at EagleBank Arena on February 23, 2024 is expected to break the venue’s all-time gate record. Bargatze’s performance in Fairfax, VA follows a night in D.C. at Capital One Arena bringing over 14,300 fans into the building, with anticipated attendance to exceed 24,700 across both of Monumental Sports & Entertainment’s (MSE) venues.
“We predicted a spike in ticket sales due to Nate Bargatze’s overwhelming popularity with fans in our region and he delivered,” said Eric Cuthbertson, General Manager of EagleBank Arena. “The unique opportunity to have a show play both in D.C. and Fairfax on back-to-back nights is exciting for MSE as we continue to bring high quality entertainment to our market.”
With a large volume of expected guests, fans driving to the Fairfax campus for Friday night’s show are advised to allow extra travel time. Attendees should be aware of increased on-campus traffic and limited parking availability. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. with a prompt showtime of 8:00 p.m.
EagleBank Arena continues to reach new benchmarks and recently recorded the highest grossing event in the building’s history on September 2, 2023, with Mexican Latin pop group RBD generating over $1.9 million in total gross ticket sales. The previous EagleBank Arena record for attendance was Phish on October 8, 1994 with 10,356 patrons.
The Fairfax venue, managed by MSE and located on the campus on George Mason University, is home to over a hundred live events each year, including George Mason men’s and women’s basketball, commencement ceremonies, family shows, comedians, and chart-topping performers. The venue originally opened in 1984 as the Patriot Center and has hosted some of music’s biggest stars including Bruce Springsteen, Prince, Green Day, Foo Fighters, Dolly Parton, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Alan Jackson, and more.
Bargatze is currently on his The Be Funny Tour with all new material. For more information visit: natebargatze.com.
